How to Prepare for your SharpLight Practical Training
Congratulations on taking the next step in your SharpLight journey! Your practical training day is an exciting opportunity to build confidence and elevate your expertise, so please review and prepare the following items in advance:
- Ensure you have received all equipment, hand pieces, deionized water, goggles, etc. from SharpLight.
- Ensure your clinic/practice has the items necessary from the SharpLight checklist.
- Please ensure that the PDF version of the training manual is shared with all attendees.
- Be sure to have registered all attendees providing full names and e-mails by clicking the link in your training confirmation email.
- Ensure all attendees have received a link via e-mail for the theory portion of training.
- Click on the link provided in the training confirmation email and download the Health History form and all applicable consent forms.
If your practical training is virtual:
- Ensure all registered trainees have access to your SharpLight device.
- Prepare a device that has audio and visual applications (laptop, tablet, phone).
- Ensure internet connection is strong.
- A few minutes prior to the onset of your training, click on the link provided in your Training Confirmation email to join your session.
For all light sourced treatments with a DPC or Laser, ensure the candidates:
- Have not had recent prolonged sun exposure (for the past 6 weeks) in the areas being treated with a DPC/Laser (no suntan).
- Are not intending to vacation and sun expose the treated area for at least 3 weeks post treatment.
- Are not on any photo-sensitive medications.
- Have shaved the treatment area (the night before or prior to treatment).
- Have not recently waxed/tweezed the area (Hair removal).
- Are not pregnant or breast feeding.
- Have no underlying health concerns.
- Have not been diagnosed with cancer or are in remission for less than 5 years.
- Have no metal in treatment area.
