In regards to all our DPC technology, it is neither diode nor IPL. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is essentially the same “family” if you will and can be thought of as the base foundation that DPC was built off of. DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control) is proprietary to SharpLight and is able to go to 90% reduction instead of the traditional 70% reduction in IPL treatments.
As well, the cooling crystal does not require any gel, unlike some IPL technologies. The second concept of our DPC HPs is that, while IPL can offer cooling crystals they are usually at the -2 to -4 range, whereas our cooling crystal is defaulted to a -8, with the option of swapping to the smaller snowflake which cools at -4; offering a much more comfortable treatment, especially for HR that penetrates deeper into the pores/follicles.
Diode lasers are the actual laser HPs that are past the visible light spectrum (so Infrared and higher) and deliver wavelengths ranging from 810 to 1064 nm.
