
Position Summary
The Director of Growth Marketing is responsible for leading SharpLight's overall marketing strategy and ensuring Marketing contributes directly to brand growth, qualified pipeline and revenue. This role owns the strategic question: "Why SharpLight?" The Director of Marketing defines how SharpLight is positioned in the market, who we target, what we say, how our products and solutions are positioned, and how Marketing supports the company's commercial objectives. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for translating company objectives into clear marketing priorities and ensuring Marketing, Sales and Clinical are aligned around a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Own and develop SharpLight's overall marketing strategy.
- Translate company revenue and growth objectives into annual and quarterly marketing priorities.
- Establish departmental goals, KPIs, budgets and resource priorities.
- Lead, coach and manage the Marketing team.
- Establish clear accountability across Demand Generation, Brand & Content and Marketing Operations.
- Monitor overall Marketing performance and continuously optimize strategy based on results.
Positioning & Why SharpLight?
- Define and continuously strengthen SharpLight's corporate positioning and core market narrative.
- Own corporate, product and competitive positioning.
- Develop and maintain SharpLight's messaging architecture and value propositions.
- Own audience segmentation and ensure messaging is tailored to priority customer segments.
- Ensure consistency between corporate, product, campaign and Sales messaging.
Product Marketing & Go-to-Market
- Own product positioning and product marketing strategy.
- Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, technologies, indications and major commercial initiatives.
- Define target audiences, value propositions, messaging, offers and launch priorities.
- Partner with Clinical, Sales and other stakeholders to develop compelling product stories.
- Establish launch objectives and evaluate post-launch performance.
Market, Competitive & Offer Strategy
- Maintain competitive intelligence on competitors, technologies, offers, positioning and market developments.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs and emerging trends.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Sales and Executive Leadership to develop compelling offers aligned with customer value and commercial objectives.
Sales Enablement & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Own the overall Sales enablement strategy from Marketing.
- Ensure Sales has the messaging, competitive intelligence, presentations, case studies, product assets and campaign support required to convert opportunities.
- Maintain strong alignment between Marketing, Sales and Clinical.
Budget & Performance
- Own and manage the Marketing budget.
- Allocate resources based on business priorities, expected return and performance.
- Review campaign, pipeline and revenue performance.
- Ensure Marketing decisions are data-driven and measurable.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including strategy and cross-functional leadership.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring marketing professionals.
- Demonstrated experience developing positioning, messaging, GTM strategies and integrated marketing plans.
- Experience in B2B, medical aesthetics, medical devices, healthcare, technology or another high-consideration sales environment strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting a direct Sales organization and consultative sales cycles is highly desirable.
- French fluency is a strong asset.
Knowledge & Technical Capabilities
- Strong understanding of positioning, segmentation, value propositions and customer journeys.
- Strong understanding of demand generation, digital marketing, content, CRM and marketing automation.
- Ability to interpret funnel, campaign, pipeline and revenue data.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and evaluating ROI.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing technology platforms; Zoho experience is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of paid media, SEO, social, email and content strategy.
